EARTH, THE
In Human Design being a synthesis, it is often possible to bring knowledge from other disciplines, the I'Ching as an example. Though Astrologers have kinship with Design through the wheel and planets, there is a glaring exception, the Earth. In Human Design calculation, the Earth is always exactly opposite the Sun and together they represent 70% of our programming.
The Earth is where we find our grounding, it is our gravitational home. Yet, in terms of analysis, the Earth is most about finding balance. Regardless of the stormy seas or not of life, if one has one's balance one can manage to get through. Conscious balance is about finding an integrative path for the Personality. At the unconscious level, through the Earth, we derive our capacity to come to grips with the world of form. In Human Design analysis there are three principle yin themes.
The Earth is one of the many planets that can affect our design. In Human Design Rave calculation, the Earth is always opposite the Sun in the zodiac. There are two great polarities in design (Oppositions in astrological terms) the Sun/Earth axis, and the North Node/South Node axis. The Earth represents where we get our grounding. Where we are rooted and where we need to find our stability.
Keynote: Grounding and Balance
The Earth represents how we find grounding, how we ground the energy of the Sun in our form, our body. The Sun and Earth always operate together and are located opposite each other in the Rave Mandala.
It is through the Earth that we can find balance when dealing with the world of form and build stability if we are able to integrate the Personality correctly in our life. At an unconscious level, through the Earth we derive our capacity to come to terms with the world of form. The Earth is the primary Yin force.
