EMOTIONAL WAVE
The movement from hope to despair (pain), from high to low; originating in the Solar Plexus, the wave is experienced in three general ways: as need (Tribal); as uncertainty (Individual); and as desire (Collective/abstract). (see Circuit Groups) (see Emotional Clarity)
In Human Design, the name given to the effect of the Solar Plexus Center, which is one of the body's four motors. Approximately half of all Humans are emotionally defined. When it is defined, it is the Inner Authority in the design. In general the emotional wave is constantly moving from zenith to nadir, from hope to pain.
Initiated in the Sixth Gate, the emotional wave has three variations:
The Ratchet Wave (Need), Tribal — one step forward and one step back until explosion.
The Spike Wave (Uncertainty), Individual — generally even but subject to sharp spikes.
The Crash Wave (Desire), Abstract/Collective — gradual rise and dramatic fall.
