URANUS
At the heart of Human Design is Uranus, the great sky God, father of Cronos (Saturn), grandfather of Zeus (Jupiter). Of all of the planets that impact on us in Design, none is closer in spirit to our nature and process than Uranus. There are many cliches regarding Uranus in analysis, its 'unusualness', 'electricity' etc. It is however the first planet we cannot see with the naked eye. It is not an easy thing to label this force accurately. What is clear about Uranus is that it does not belong to the Saturnian realm. If it is behaving within the constraints of the Saturnian reality, it is only an illusion, quickly broken when it insists on distancing itself from the rules. The original sky God, it can see itself above the rules. This is not to be confused with rebellion so often tagged to Uranus. It is Uranus that sees Saturn as the rebel and a boring slave to order. The creation of form out of chaos is the Uranian medium. It needs 'chaos' as a muse. Uranus in the Rave chart will bring this attraction to chaos to the theme of a gate and its life dynamic will be the in prana of chaos until the midlife point and then the out prana of bringing order.
Keynote: Unusualness, Chaos, and Innovation
Uranus in your chart describes where you need to follow your own track, where you can express yourself in unique and different ways. Uranus breaks up the old order once limitations need to be transcended so the new may emerge. This is often precipitated by instability and chaos out of which new forms can be created.
The gate it activates denotes an area where you are subject to possibly sudden and unexpected experiences typical of this Uranian dynamic, with a break up of the old forms around midlife and the subsequent renewal in the second half of life, after the Uranus opposition.
